Student Ambassadors

It’s more than just a navy polo and a smile – being a Student Ambassador is a chance for students to leave their mark on the future students of ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú.

The ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú Student Ambassador program, founded in 1987, is a select group of volunteer student leaders who serve the University as ambassadors to campus, providing a variety of services including campus tours, group visits, student panels, public relations appearances and more. Each year our team of nearly 60 undergraduate students volunteer their time giving over 6,000 tours annually to prospective students and their families.

Student-led campus tours serve as an introduction to our beautiful campus here at ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú. Our goal is for University guests to have an enjoyable and educational experience. We encourage our Student Ambassadors to personalize each tour with bits of information and their own personal connections. By doing so, our tours are more than just a routine walk around campus, they make it feel like home.

Student Ambassadors are required to participate in continuing education/training programs, regularly scheduled meetings, and are strongly encouraged to participate in activities within the ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú community, so that they are more knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and are better equipped to answer questions from our visitors.

Tours depart from the Curris Center following an admissions presentation led by an Office of Recruitment staff member. Tours are scheduled five days a week, with multiple Saturday visits a semester (excluding select holidays). Other tours and presentations are handled upon request and include athletic and special tour needs.

If you are interested in becoming a Student Ambassador please contact Meagan Brawner, Coordinator of Student Development at mpember@murraystate.edu or 270-809-3495.
