How can I sign up for a visit?

. You will be able to select the date and time you would like to visit and give us more information about what you would like to do while you are on campus.

How long does the campus visit take?

A typical visit consists of an information session with an admission counselor who will be able to discuss with you admission criteria, financial aid and scholarship opportunities as well as information about housing, dining services and student life; this takes approximately 30 minutes.

This will be followed by a student guided walking tour of campus, which typically takes one and one-half hours.

In addition, you may request to meet with an academic department. If we are able to confirm that appointment, you should add an additional one to two hours to your visit time.

We ask that you give us at least two weeks鈥 notice to arrange your visit. However, if you are just passing through Western Kentucky and would like to drop in, feel free to do so. We will NOT be able to acquire academic appointments on same day visits.

You will receive a pop-up confirmation as soon as you submit your registration; you will also receive an automated confirmation within a few minutes of your registration; sent to the email you listed on your profile.

You will also receive a reminder a couple of days before your visit, with more information and an itinerary of your visit.

You will be given detailed information about parking in the emails you will receive after your registration. This will include a link to register your vehicle before arriving on campus. Visitor parking is free.

You will park in visitor鈥檚 parking at the Curris Center (GPS address: 1375 Chestnut St, 糖心logo入口, KY  42071).

When you register for your visit you may indicate an interest in speaking with an academic department. Be sure to plan ahead 鈥 we need at least two weeks鈥 notice to request these appointments. While we will do our best to schedule these appointments, they are not guaranteed; especially if requested at the last minute.

Unfortunately, due to NCAA guidelines; the Office of Recruitment is not able to schedule athletic appointments.

You can complete an online questionnaire in order to let the coach know of your interest. Simply and select the sport of your choice from the SPORTS link in the gold header bar and then the MORE options icon in the white header bar; click on FUTURE RACERS QUESTIONNAIRE.

Absolutely! We ask that when scheduling your appointment, you let us know if you need special accommodations. This will allow us time to arrange for a wheel chair or a special driving tour.

You may want to bring something to write with and a list of any questions you may have.

Dress casual for your visit to campus. You will be sitting a little and walking a lot!  We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. You may also want to bring a jacket or umbrella in the event of inclement weather. Be sure to  before leaving home.

No matter which school you are visiting; never wear clothing from another college. You are going to be meeting with faculty and staff from the college of your choice. According to , 鈥淭here is nothing worse as an admission counselor than to have a prospective student come up to you raving about how much they want to attend your college while wearing the sweatshirt from a peer institution.鈥

There are a couple of reasons you would not be able to visit on a particular date/time. Maybe, that session is already full. Maybe, the university is closed or we have a special event scheduled and will not be hosting visits on that date. You may need to select a secondary date/time to visit.

However, if you are only able to come on a particular date, we offer Self-Guided Walking Tours. There are many benefits of a walking tour. Learn more about Self-Guided Walking Tours
