Manufacturing Engineering Degree

The Manufacturing Engineering Technology program at ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú prepares you for careers in manufacturing industries.  The program is designed to help you learn the skills to become a manufacturing engineer including industrial design and develop the manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment that turn design ideas into real products.  The areas of study are: 

  • Metal Machining Processes

  • Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

  • Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM)

  • Fluid Power

  • Industrial Supervision

  • Quality Control

  • Business Management

You will develop abilities in product design, prototyping, and principles of automated manufacturing systems using the machines and tools available in a number of laboratories as a manufacturing engineer.

Become a Manufacturing Engineer

Graduates who earn a degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology will fill such positions as project manager in automotive, metal working, plastics and other industries.  The typical job titles held by graduates are:

  • Industrial Supervisor

  • Manufacturing Engineer

  • Quality Control Manager

  • Manufacturing Supervisor

  • CAD/CAM Specialist

Student Activities

Students in Manufacturing Technology are involved primarily in two organizations: the Association of Design Engineering Technology and/or the Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society.

These organizations provide students with the opportunity to interact with other students and learn more about careers in their field.
