Racer Nation Orientation is required for all new freshman and new transfer students. Orientation gives you a chance to finalize plans on campus, meet future classmates, learn more about ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú State and register for classes!

Racer Nation Orientation is a 3-part experience:

  1. Day of Orientation Course Registration
  2. Day of Orientation Information Sessions
  3. Racer Life - August Welcome Event

 

Yes, There is a $150.00 nonrefundable fee to attend Racer Nation Orientation. This fee must be paid before attending your RNO session. This fee covers all costs for the student and any parent(s) or guest(s). A payment link will be sent after your registration is received.   

If you have a scheduling conflict you can change the date of your orientation session.  Please note that you can only change your date to one that is still available. 

Family/guests are welcome to attend orientation sessions.

All session dates are in-person, except for July 9th. 

July 9th virtual orientation is only available for those who have unique needs related to distance and medication accommodations. (spaces are limited).

Yes, if you or someone attending with you has a disability which requires special accommodations for full participation in the orientation program, please call the Office of Disability Services at 270-809-5737. 

No, your tuition and fees bill will be mailed to you around mid-July if you have already attended orientation by that time. If you attend one of the later programs, your bill will be emailed a few days after that session. Please make a payment by the date shown on the bill to avoid your class schedule being canceled.

The ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú State Honors College is designed to enrich the educational experience of highly motivated students by increasing the opportunity for interacting with outstanding faculty, both in small class settings such as Honors seminars, and in ongoing research experiences. The Honors College emphasizes enriched versions of the university studies requirements during the freshman and sophomore years. On the junior and senior levels, it supplements the specialized course work with individual study and research. Students must possess an ACT score of 28 or above, or a 3.5 GPA, or be in the top 10% of your graduating HS class and complete a separate application for admission to the Honors College.
