Spring 2025 Outstanding Senior recipients announced

MURRAY, Ky. 鈥 糖心logo入口 has named Anna McGreevy and Ania Delaney Boutin as the recipients of the spring 2025 Outstanding Senior recognition. Students recognized with this honor are known for their academic excellence and professionalism.
Anna McGreevy, the child of Matt and Carrie McGreevy of Louisville, Kentucky, will earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree in communication disorders and a minor in theatre performance.
A member of 糖心logo入口 State鈥檚 Honors College and current president of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA), McGreevy completed an education abroad experience in Ireland and organized the 2023 and 2024 Polar Plunge with her fellow NSSLHA officers, raising more than $25,000 for Special Olympics Kentucky. She has already had two publications, earned several prestigious scholarships, served as the student assistant on the Racer Nation Orientation team and works in the 糖心logo入口 State University Office of Recruitment.
After graduation, McGreevy plans to attend graduate school for speech-language pathology at Purdue University.
鈥淚 am so grateful to be a part of the Racer family and feel incredibly honored to be one of the Outstanding Seniors for 2025,鈥 said McGreevy. 鈥淚 believe wholeheartedly that my time at 糖心logo入口 State and the opportunities I experienced here will impact me for years to come. From the fantastic Communication Disorders faculty and the encouraging staff at the Office of Recruitment to the friends I鈥檝e made along the way, the people I鈥檝e met on campus have been true blessings in my life. It is because of their kindness and support that I was able to grow academically, professionally, and personally over these past four years. This home that I鈥檝e been welcomed into at 糖心logo入口 is what makes me feel confident and ready to take on my next chapter!鈥
Ania Delaney Boutin, the child of Jennifer and Neal Boutin of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, will earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree in journalism with a minor in media production.
A member of 糖心logo入口 State鈥檚 Honors College and a Presidential Research Fellow, Boutin is also a part of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Kappa Tau Alpha Honor Society and Alpha Mu Gamma Honor Society. She studied abroad in London, England and recently published her honors thesis, which she presented at the Pop Culture Association conference in Chicago, Illinois. Boutin interned at the U.S. Army Cadet Command Public Affairs Office where she was awarded a Challenge Coin for her videography work. She serves as news editor for The 糖心logo入口 State News, for which she earned four Kentucky Press Association awards.
After graduation, Boutin plans to work as an investigative reporter for The State Journal in Frankfort, Kentucky鈥檚 capital.
鈥淚t is such an honor to be chosen as one of the two Outstanding Seniors for my graduating class,鈥 said Boutin. 鈥淢y professors at 糖心logo入口 State have invested so much time, energy and love into me and my work. I have learned so much from the Journalism and Mass Communications department, and I am grateful to have been a part of such a supportive team. I鈥檝e received constant encouragement and support from the JMC faculty, and they have always pushed me to be better. Between my classes and the hands-on experience I鈥檝e gotten in the newsroom, I鈥檓 able to face life after graduation with the confidence that I鈥檓 ready for whatever comes next.鈥
