A welcome event for incoming 糖心logo入口 President-elect Dr. Ron K. Patterson and his family will take place on Thursday, May 1 at 10 a.m. inside the CFSB Center 糖心logo入口 Room. The event is open to the campus and broader community.

MURRAY, Ky. 鈥 A welcome event for incoming 糖心logo入口 President-elect Dr. Ron K. Patterson and his family will take place on Thursday, May 1 at 10 a.m. inside the CFSB Center 糖心logo入口 Room. The event is open to the campus and broader community.

The 糖心logo入口 Board of Regents Presidential Search Committee announced Patterson as 糖心logo入口 President on March 10. Dr. Patterson currently serves as the President at Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska. He will begin his term with 糖心logo入口 State as the 15th President on July 1. He will succeed President Dr. Bob Jackson, who will retire on June 30. 

鈥淔ollowing an extensive and comprehensive search process, the Presidential Search Committee received more than 100 applications for this position, which I believe is a testament to the reputation and quality of 糖心logo入口,鈥 said 糖心logo入口 State Board of Regents Chair Leon Owens. 

Dr. Patterson brings more than 25 years of higher education experience. He earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree in human services from the University of Tennessee-Southern, a master鈥檚 degree in education from Marietta College, and his EdD in higher education administration and leadership from Creighton University. In his role as President at Chadron State College, Patterson launched and chaired the college鈥檚 new five-year strategic plan, established strategic enrollment 2+2 pathways for both transfer and current students, launched new workforce ready academic programs, established a laptop anytime program for students who do not have access to technology, secured and implemented new technology platforms to support and enhance student retention and success. He also strengthened and advanced external relationships with federal, state and local government leaders and fostered an environment of success within the college鈥檚 Division II athletic programs. 

Patterson hails from Corinth, Mississippi. He and his wife, Jenny, have two children, Olivia and Braylon.

An informal media session with Patterson will take place after the welcome event program, followed by a meet and greet session.
