Department of Art and Design hosts senior art exhibitions

MURRAY, Ky. 鈥 The 糖心logo入口 Department of Art and Design and University Galleries are pleased to announce the capstone exhibitions of work by Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS) and Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) students for spring 2024.
The exhibitions will be on view from April 26-May 2 in the Mary Ed Mecoy Hall Gallery and the Clara M. Eagle Galleries, located on the sixth and seventh floors of the Price Doyle Fine Arts Building on the 糖心logo入口 State campus. An opening reception will be held in the galleries from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, April 26.
In partial fulfillment of their graduation requirements, students pursuing a Fine Arts degree (BFA, BA or BS) are required to present an exhibition of recent works completed during their study at 糖心logo入口 State. With the guidance of individualized advisors and faculty committees and the director of University Galleries, these capstone exhibitions generally take the form of concurrent exhibitions or small groups of students presenting as a collective within a gallery space.
Drifting Through It All, an exhibition of work by students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Studio Art, will feature six art majors:

鈼 Thomas Townsend of Louisville, Kentucky
Six exhibitions by Bachelor of Fine Arts students will also be on view:

鈼 Phylum Phantasma by Hannah Robards of Henderson, Kentucky: BFA in studio art
鈼 Self-ish by Christine Cox of Lebanon, Kentucky: BFA in studio art
鈼 9th Life Cat Caf茅 by Bethany Burbage of Madisonville, Kentucky: BFA in graphic design
鈼 Breaking Borders by Savannah Hyo Leach of Benton, Kentucky: BFA in graphic design
鈼 Transcendence by CJ Nance of 糖心logo入口, Kentucky: BFA in printmaking
The University Galleries visitor hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
