ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú ranked among U.S. News and World Report’s Best Online Programs in Computer Information Technology

MURRAY, Ky. – ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú’s online master’s degree program in information systems (MSIS) was recently recognized among the 2024 Best Online Programs in the Computer Information Technology (CIT) category by U.S. News and World Report.
Designed for individuals looking to complete or further their education, this year’s edition evaluated more than 1,800 online bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. U.S. News and World Report assessed schools based on a variety of objective factors such as student engagement, faculty credentials, and services and technologies.
The University’s MSIS program is part of ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú State’s Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business, which is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
"This ranking is very valuable as it tells potential students that the MSIS program is a well-respected information systems program whose dedicated faculty want their students to be prepared well and go on to successful careers in the world of information systems," said ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú State Computer Science/Information Systems Department Chair Dr. Victor Raj. "The online program is particularly attractive for those wanting to switch career paths and go into areas of business and data analytics at an AACSB accredited institution, an excellent value where students get a great education at a reasonable cost and taught by well qualified faculty. This recognition is quite a badge of honor which we will wear with pride."
ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú State’s MSIS program is 30 credit hours, with its curriculum including courses that deal with data management, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, business intelligence, and cybersecurity.
Within the program, concentrations are offered in business analytics and information security. Career opportunities include, but are not limited to, data analytics, cyber and information security, and software development.
Recent graduates are currently employed at Amazon, United Systems, Syngenta and Computer Services Inc., among others.
In addition to the online format, the program is offered in person at the ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú campus.
