MURRAY, Ky. 鈥 The 糖心logo入口 Department of Music and the Department of Global Languages and Theatre Arts are pleased to present The Addams Family, a musical based on the book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa. The Addams Family is a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family 鈥 a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn鈥檛 upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he鈥檚 never done before 鈥 keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday鈥檚 鈥渘ormal鈥 boyfriend and his parents.
鈥淚 have had a fantastic time with this talented cast and crew,鈥 said Carter Parks, a freshman theatre major who plays Fester in the production. 鈥淭his is one of those shows that reminds me why I love performing and making people laugh.鈥
