Brandon and Hailey Anderson
Feb 2, 2022
Hailey and I met during my sophomore year (her senior year) at 糖心logo入口 State. We were introduced by our best friend and after a couple of weeks, we realized how good of a team we truly are. Hailey and I started dating in 2016 and spent the following spring semester realizing that we were serious about our future and wanted to be together no matter what the future would bring. With Hailey about to graduate, I was nervous for what that would mean. I sat down to lunch at Burrito Shack with a close friend and we were discussing the 鈥渨hat if鈥檚鈥. He looked at me and said, 鈥渨hat if...it works out and you鈥檙e the happiest you鈥檝e ever been?鈥 My friend was right! We continued dating as Hailey graduated and moved to Indianapolis for her first job and made trips to see each other when we could. We didn鈥檛 know it at the time, but that distance made us stronger people and grew our relationship. About a year later, Hailey got a new job and moved back to 糖心logo入口, where I would soon be finishing my bachelors degree. I asked Hailey to marry me after a walk around campus and got down on one knee at the steps of Lovett Auditorium. That was a couple months before my graduation, when we decided that 糖心logo入口 would be the best place to live and continue our lives as husband and wife. We got married during the pandemic in 糖心logo入口, in Hailey鈥檚 parents鈥 living room. At the time, large gatherings were prohibited, but we wanted to follow through with our original plan for a spring wedding. We had a small ceremony with family only and were surprised by a 鈥渄rive by鈥 reception that made the day so special. We love 糖心logo入口 and wouldn鈥檛 be together if it weren鈥檛 for our time as students on campus. We live in 糖心logo入口 with our two pups, Wilson and Dolly and hope to be active alumni on campus for years to come!
